Check / replace the 400V, 47uF capacitor in the power supply

Intermittent stopping in play or record, worse in LP mode
After changing the infra red reel reotation sensor with little improvement, it was found the silver and black stick on ring on the underside of the take up reel base was faded, repair was effected by using an unfaded ring off a scrap machine

Machine is dead, no display, operation etc, fuse on power supply is ok
Replace the 47uF, 400V capacitor on the power supply, this should cure it

T6901 on the sync sub panel was dry

Move ribbon cable from control panel away from the nicam pcb
