Crushed whites on playback (via modulator only)
The 12v regulator TW003 (2SC2236-Y) had low output (11v), Pt no. A6325549

Dead or pulsing outputs from p.s.u
Suspect CP007 (10uF,50v) or CP008 (100uF,25v), if fault persists replace IP001 (U4614B), Pt no. 70011972 (power unit is availiable as a complete replacement unit)

Dim clock
Check / replace CP041 (220uF,25v)

id:= 116310
Intermittent video and audio mute, e-e and playback
QT102 (QT001 on Cat2 Hi-Fi) 17.7Mhz xtal faulty (Pt no. 70012188)

No picture in e-e or playback
If there is no supply to the R.F modulator check CW001 (100uF) in the base circuit of TW001 for failure

No video on playback, e-e and osd
The I2C sda and scl lines at tuner modulator pins 10 and 11 had correct d.c and timing pulses on them but no burst of data when remote operated, service mode eeprom reads 00, the tuner modulator was faulty (Pt no. 70012019)
